This flower mix is definitely the most favorite arrangement that I have ever composed to date! It brought me so much joy to deliver these and the truck NEVER SMELLED SO GOOD! Just a phenomenal way to start my week.
The season has only just begun and... well this guy has already outgrown the trellis! This is one of our Cherry Tomato varieties. The results of our home made compost and Hoopty working well together. If we don't prune it will require a ladder to harvest those top tomatoes & that's just too much for this shorty!🤷🏾‍♀️ Prune it is!
True signs that Spring has arrived! I love harvest season. Freezing, canning, dehydrating, pickling, and of course EATING is the best! What's your favorite technique for preserving your harvests?
There much talk about food security, bulk buying, and food storage lately. Before we run out and buy everything on the shelves there some things to keep in mind. Do your research! Really make your dollars count by being an informed shopper. Not everything does well in storage while other things can with a little assistance. For instance, Yellow grits as pictured here are in our oven at 170° for 20 minutes (150° would have been better but our oven doesn't go that low so we just dropped the time down from 30 minutes) to kill off any weevil eggs. Alternatively you could also place in a the freezer for a few days for the same effect. After cooling these grits will go into food safe buckets with Gamma Lids. These are stored in our make shift pantry, a cool dark space.
Well there is a nice story behind this Grapefruit tree. For now, let's just enjoy the beautiful blooms and baby fruit before us.😍
Now this is how you do Taco Tuesday! 😋 Used our medium Mango-Bonnet Hot Sauce along with our Sunflower microgreens. To say delish is an understatement!
